Overview:
play2prep was a turn-based SAT/ACT prep game for iPhone and iPad. Students challenge friends with timed questions, earn XP/credits, use power-ups, and get instant explanations—making practice social and repeatable.
My Role: Product, UX/UI, visual system, and brand/marketing.
Core Game Loop:
Start → ACT or SAT → category → set timer/power-ups → send/answer → instant feedback + XP → best of 3 wins.
Onboarding & Avatars
Avatars give players identity across matches and chat.
Lobby & Turns
Home groups My Turns, Their Turns, and finished games for fast resume.
Tablet UI (iPad)
Dashboard surfaces Daily Questions, Skills rings, and a prominent Start a Game call-to-action (CTA).
Social Play
Find opponents via contacts; optional Facebook Connect.
Question Flow & Timing
Pick test and category, then answer with adjustable timers and optional power-ups.
Turns Chat
Chat-style log tracks moves, timers, and power-ups so both players stay in sync.
Feedback & Learning
Immediate correct/incorrect states and concise explanations reinforce learning.
Results & Progression
Post-match summary shows category performance, accuracy, and XP/credits.
Website & Branding Materials
Marketing site and business cards extend the app’s look & feel.
